Notice of Corrections regarding Extension of Stay by Authority for Foreign Residents
 The Korea Immigration Service (KIS) has implemented the Extension of Stay by Authority, as of July 19 (Mon.), 2021, granting a three (3) month extension of stay for registered foreign residents (including those with domestic residence report) whose Period of Stay in the ROK is due to expire between July 19, 2021 and September 30, 2021 aiming to minimize in-person visits to local immigration offices to curb surging infections amid the pandemic.
 In the process of implementing the measure, however, an error has been found in the text message sent collectively on July 20 (Tue.) regarding the expiry date of stay, as shown below.

This message is to inform that your Period of Stay has been extended until Apri. 29, 2022.
Please refrain from visiting immigration offices to prevent the spread of COVID-19.
To check the Expiry Date of your Stay, please visit the HiKorea website (www.hikorea.go.kr).

 To address this issue, the KIS immediately sent a text message again to relevant foreign residents in the nation specifying their extended period of stay individually to make corrections of the previous message sent on July 20 (Tue.) about the extension measure. 
 We apologize for the inconvenience caused and appreciate your understanding.
 Please make sure to check your Expiry Date of Stay at Expiry Date Check on the bottom menu of the HiKorea website (www.hikorea.go.kr) by entering your passport number, nationality and date of birth information.
