The Ministry of Justice (MOJ) has stepped up the requirements for re-entry into the Republic of Korea, effective from June 1, 2020, with suspension of the re-entry permit exemption and enforcement of re-entry permit system, requiring all long-term foreign residents seeking re-entry into Korea to submit a written diagnosis, in an effort to curb travel from COVID-19 affected regions abroad to the ROK and to prevent inflow of the novel coronavirus from overseas.
