Visa free entry between Korea and the United States According to Korea's joining Visa Waiver Program(VWP) in the United States, We let the United States citizen allow to enter Korea without visa as following based on mutual understanding since November 17(Monday), 2008 Visa free entry in the United States for Korean status of sojourn: travel/transit(B-2) period of sojourn: 90days(It is extended from current 30days) range of allowed activities: travel/transit since: Nov. 17(Mon.). 2008. New location In order to enter the United States as Korean, an electronic passport is necessary and the allowed period is 90 days for travel/common-use purpose. 72 hours prior to departure, you have to check the acceptance or rejection for entry by connecting ESTA(https://esta.cbp.dhs.gov). However, if you have U.S. visa on your passport, it is still available to use regardless of VWP. since: Nov. 17(Mon.). 2008.
