Recruitment procedures and obligations to report
Overseas Koreans recruitment procedures
- Members are given a special recruitment permit (valid for 3 years) if they could not find any suitable domestic workers despite having made efforts to hire them. With they permit, they may recruit foreigners registered on the list of potential foreign employees
- Members may not hire more workers than the quota as shown on the special recruitment permit
Members obligations to report
- Based on
- Immigration Laws Article 19, Enforcement Ordinance Article 24, Enforcement regulation Article 28
- Reported/notified by
- Those that employed foreign workers
- Reasons for report/notification
- If the foreign worker is fired, retired, or deceased
- If the foreign worker is missing
- If significant changes have been made to the employment contract
- If the hired foreigner was involved in activities that acts against the law or any of its related ordinance
- Deadline
- Within 15 days from day when the user became aware of the issue
