Reference

- If their period of stay over 91 days, their status turns into Arts/Entertainment (E-6)
- Those that are seeking to make profit through performing arts such as entertainment, music, play, sports, advertisement, fashion model, or others of the like.(Whose period of stay is within 90 days)
- Regardless of their pretext, those actively involved (as an individual or as a part of a group) in entertainment, musical performances, or plays for profit. For example, professional athletes or musical performers holding a concert.
- Those that act alongside aforementioned individuals, such as their manager, or make-up artists.
- Those that are invited to give a lecture under a contract which guarantees profit (Whose period of stay is within 90 days)
- If the performance does not make any profit, they are classified as Short Term Visit(C-3) statusThose seeking engagement in the field of research or technical training that apply to the following:

Application Eligibility
- Those seeking position of foreign language instructor at foreign language institutions or educational facilities (primary school and above)
- Qualification: Natives of the country whose mother language is the one they are teaching. In addition, they must have acquired a bachelor's degree or higher from that country. For people, who graduated a high school or a college in countries that use English as a first language and obtained a bachelor's degree or higher one from Korean universities.

- Foreign language institutes registered by the Article 3-2 of the Presidential Decree of Institutes' Establishment, Operation & Private Instruction Law

- Facilities which is set up based on the law of lifetime education and coincides with the standard the Minister of Justice made.

- Institutions or corporations for developing abilities for employment which are set up based on the employees' job training promotion law.

- If a foreigner hands in a criminal record check which covers the whole home country's information for the visa issuance application, and comes to Korea after getting the conversation teacher(E-2) visa the criminal record check document is able to be omitted when the foreigner wants to move to another workplace through a new visa issuance application.(This includes the situation such as, visa issuance application made after the foreigner left Korea. But, if the time period from leaving date up to entrance date with the new E-2 visa is more than 3 months criminal record check is needed when alien registration application is made. )

Apostille Treaty

※ Foreign Investor means who has stocks/shares or donates according to 「Foreign Investor Promotion Law」. However, a corporate body is not applicable.

1. Field of Science
- One recommended by Minister of education·science·technology with prize record, being reported and standard of citation on SCI(Science Citation Index) and results of research.
2. Field of Business Administration
- One who has worked as a Multinational Managers or Executives at a corporation of world best 500 corporations those are announced by FORTUNE in last 3 years and who is willing to work at a domestic branch, etc.

3. Field of Education
- One recommended by Minister of education·science·technology with being reported and standard of citation on SSCI(Social Science Citation Index) and A&HCI(Art and Humanities Citation Index) and results of research.

- One recommended by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism as a internationally celebrated artist, director or vocalist, etc.
5. Field of Physical culture
- One recommended by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism among Winners and the coaches who win bronze medal or higher at the Olympics, the International Championship Series, the Asian game or equivalent competition.
- One recommended by Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism among who record 16th place or higher at the World Cup and the coaches.

Application Eligibility
- In accordance with Jeju special act -article 229, Who owns a recreation facility in developed area with development enforcement approval from the governor of Jeju province, accompanied spouse and unmarried minor sons and daughters.
- Those who invests USD200,000 or more and owns.
- If the recreation facility is belonging to more than 2 people, the share of who apply for the visa issuance must be USD200,000 or more.
※ Even though the total amount of investment including the amount of joint owner is more than USD200,000, if the applicant's investment amount is less than USD200,000, it is not available to apply it.
- It's available to apply when the applicant stays at the facility and use it on purpose of recreation. When the applicant doesn't stay at the facility, and let the others use it, it is not available to apply.
※ The others includes the joint owner and members of the recreation facility. But applicant's spouse and unmarried minor sons and daughters are not included to the others.
- The Object of investment must be a facility on purpose of recreation as a recreational condominium. The facility only for tourism as a hotel or a motel is not applicable.
- Those that do not fall under any of the other categories of visa, seeking stay for more than 91 days in Korea, and applies to the following:
- Those that are placed under medical care
- Those involved in legal proceedings
- Those who want to be invited to receive medical treatment at medical institution in Korea by the hospital or inviter with permission of the Medical Services Law

Allowed Activities
- Recreation, travel, nonprofit cultural and art activities, taking Korean language course in a language institute attached to a university, academic activities, attending meeting, and other non profit activities are allowed.
- If a Miscellaneous(G-1) status holder wants to be a employed worker, to issue another working visa or to change to working status is necessary.
