If Your Refugee Claim Is Denied...
Procedures after Denial of Refugee status
  • You will be issued with a Notice on Non-recognition of Refugee Status
    - When your claim is denied, you are required to appear to the Immigration office where you submitted your application, to receive a Notice on Non-recognition of Refugee Status.

  • You will be handed out a Brochure for those denied refugee status
    (The followings are the Contents of the Brochure)
    - Necessary procedures to extend the status of stay for those denied refugee status
    - Procedures and filing period for an appeal
    - Procedures and filing period for an administrative appeal and/or administrative litigation
    - Limited treatments on the person whose administrative appeal or administrative litigation concerning the non-recognition of refugee status is ongoing.
